April Meeting

Well what a day 21 April 16 turned out to be. With Her Majesty's Birthday in full flow we saw the initiation of another Entered Apprentice due to the positive recruiting of our pro-active Brethren. Malcolm enjoyed a splendid evening which was further enhanced by the guidance of our WM and the encyclopaedic prompting from Jim. The festive board was up to its usual high standard, but made all the more noisy by the Firing Glasses purchase by Vic. See you all next month! more...

The usual roast beef, pork and turkey were present with the addition of a succulent gammon joint. Which means the third meat will probably be lamb on 12 June 16. The multiple array of vegetables was up to it's usual high standard with the cauliflower cheese being my particular favourite. more...

Portland Lodges Support Local Sea Cadets

The evening was an overwhelming success with over 115 persons present to witness the presentation of 20 cheques from various Lodges, Orders and personal donations giving a grand total of £5,705.00
A really great response and a lot of hard work by WBro Vic Pomeroy in getting the money in. 80 people from the Sea Cadets were present and the families of the Cadets were then taken to see the Lodge Temple. more...
