Welcome to Quintus Lodge
Quintus is one of the forty nine lodges which make up the Province of Dorset.
We meet at the Portland Masonic Hall DT5 1A, just one of the seventeen meeting venues across the county.
The Romans had a close association with Portland, referring to it as 'The Isle of Slingers', derived from the inhabitants habit of seeing off intruders with stone and slingshot. We are much more welcoming today!
The name of the Lodge is therefore appropriate, as in Latin it means fifth and on 10th September 1966 Quintus was the fifth Lodge to be Consecrated at Portland.
We warmly welcome anyone interested in finding out more about Freemasonry and visiting Brethren from other lodges.
