Welcome to Chesil Lodge
Chesil Lodge No. 8149 was consecrated on 1st April 1967 at Shaftesbury Hall, Portland. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Lt Col A.R. Bond installed the Master, W.Bro. C.G. Hanfrey. There were 28 Founders of the Lodge.
The design of the Lodge badge depicts the World famous Chesil Bank with the Sea either side of it along with the Square and Compasses.
The Lodge has two especial nights In the Calendar; 'The Olde English Night' in June where diners have to sing for their supper and 'The Boar's Head Supper' held in December each year. The Boar's Head is paraded around the dining room to the accompaniment of the Brethren singing the 'Boars Head' carol.
We meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month apart from December (for Christmas) and April (for Installation) when we meet a week earlier.
