Presentation of a sailing boat to Lyme Regis Sailing Club
Montagu Lodge No: 665 at the very west of the province presented a new Oppi Cube sailing boat to Lyme Regis Sailing Club to assist with training children from the age of six to sail. This training also helps with their personal skills and development. As our Charity Steward said at the presentation it will help the development of other muscles instead of just their thumbs. Lyme Regis Masonic Hall fitted with life-saving equipment
MASONIC halls across Dorset, including Lyme Regis, have been installed with a defibrillator available for free, public use.
In commemoration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee year and as a public service to their communities, 17 automated external defibrillators have been installed on Masonic halls across the county, funded by the Masonic Province of Dorset's own charity, Dorset Masonic Care, in conjunction with the Arrhythmia Alliance Organisation. more...
Montagu Lodge supporting Lyme Regis Gig Club
On Sunday 28th August at 15:00 the Lyme Regis Gig club held a launching ceremony on the harbor slipway for two of their latest vessels. One Cornish Pilot Gig named Prospero and a Cornish Sea Skiff named Storm Force. A few months earlier one of the Brethren had proposed that the Lodge donate £1000 for the sea skiff building project. All plain sailing for Montagu Lodge
Members of Montagu Lodge in Lyme Regis have donated £300 to the Local Sea Angling Club Youth Section.
Lyme Regis Sea Angling Club is a family friendly sea fishing club based in the beautiful Dorset town of Lyme Regis. They run competitions and matches throughout the year for both adults and juniors.
The money has helped to fund the youth team with transport to and from competitions and help provide extra tackle. more...
