Immaculate ceremony at Benevolence!

During an immaculate ceremony at the Chapter of Benevolence, John Storey impressively installed Les Gould into the First Principal's Chair, whilst John Wood was installed as Second Principal. Just five years after becoming a Freemason and, after joining the Royal Arch the following year, Dennis Porter was Installed into the Third Principal's Chair.

Mike Worne, Deputy Grand Superintendent, congratulated the three Principals and Officers upon their appointments and thanked members of the Chapter for their enthusiastic welcome and happy companionship throughout the Convocation.

Chef Kay Curtis completed a memorable evening by presenting a scrumptious Festive Board of pâté with chutney, salad and Melba toast, followed by steak and kidney pie and roast potatoes with a selection of vegetables and finishing with sherry trifle.

Michael Rampling assured Companions that he welcomes the challenges of his new appointment as Chapter Information Officer. (Michael can be confident that the demands of this role will be vastly different to those he experiences in the School of Medicine at Imperial College, London - - where he has been honoured to receive an award for Excellence in Teaching).
